Avoid placing your candle in a draughty area whilst lit. A common mistake is windowsills and open windows. This will cause the flame to consume the wax at a faster rate, meaning your candle won’t burn for as long as intended.
Don’t burn for longer than 4-5 hours at a time, this could cause the glass to get hot.
Try to avoid blowing out your candle. This will cause more smoke than necessary and will affect the beautiful scent that’s diffused throughout your room. Invest in a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame gently. This will also coat the wick in a fresh layer of wax, prepping it perfectly for the next light.
Re-use you candle jar. Place the glass in the fridge for 40 minutes; the cold causes the wax to expand so that any leftovers will pop out easily from the jar. Give it a soapy rinse and it’s ready to be re-used for plants, pens, pina coladas and more.
