Whether it’s taking a walk (following social distancing rules), taking a bath, practicing meditation, applying a face mask or lighting a candle, self-care has never been more important than it is right now. Looking after your health and wellbeing during this uncertain time can occasionally prove difficult, but it’s important that we all take time out for ourselves, to be kind to both body and mind.
Making your home feel like a safe haven is so important at present and as a team, we’ve come up with our favourite home comforts for ultimate self-care and relaxation.

Skincare
Now that most of us have more time on our hands, developing a skin regime that really works for you is a nice way to practice a little self-care. Vanderohe skincare is a beautiful treat – their products feel and smell incredible and are 100% natural, vegan and never tested on animals. We especially love their Purifying Cleansing Kit, which includes the Purifying Cleansing Oil, Exfoliating Powder and 100% plant fibre Sasawashi Exfoliating Face Cloth.
Simply cleanse with the oil daily and use the warm, damp face cloth to wipe away. Add the exfoliating powder to your routine with the cleansing oil 2-3 times a week to remove any dead skin cells and rejuvenate.

Flowers
It’s no secret that fresh flowers can brighten up any home instantly, especially on a gloomy day. With florists across the UK and the rest of the world closed for the time being, we thought we’d highlight a few independent London florists who are still shipping flowers via their online stores.
Whether you’re looking to brighten up your mantelpiece or someone else’s, Fluoresse, Gloria Studio, Sage Flowers, Petalon Flowers and The Allotment Florist are all delivering to doors across London. If you’re based in the rest of the UK or the USA, Floom offer delivery to your door from a variety of independent florists.

Tea
Keeping your body healthy and hydrated is vital at the moment and helps just as much with your immunity as your concentration levels. Keeping focussed whilst working from home can sometimes be a hard task, but by performing your daily self-care rituals, you can hopefully keep yourself on track.
We love Wilder Botanics teas – they’re are packed full of organic herbs to suit each and every person and their needs. We particularly love their ‘Calm & Support’ tea, infused with oat flowers, camomile, lemon balm and lavender.

Pyjamas
With most of us spending our days and nights indoors, we seem to flit between loungewear and pyjamas. As comfortable as loungewear can be, it’s still lovely to look forward to putting on your sleepwear at the end of the day. After switching off from work, engaging in a night-time routine to ensure a peaceful and restful night’s sleep is important. We love Honna pyjamas – both comfortable and pretty – you’ll always look forward to putting them on.

Quilts
Whilst the days get warmer as we move into spring, the nights are still a time to wrap up and keep warm. The temperature drops as the light leaves the day and we love nothing more than curling up on the sofa with a book, a cup of herbal tea and a warm blanket.
Working Cloth quilts are handmade by founder Lauren MacDonald in beautiful natural fabric; both a work of art and home comfort all wrapped up in one.

Candles
Although the days are getting longer, we’ve always believed that it doesn’t have to be dark to light up a candle. We love lighting our favourites in our home offices to bring a touch of luxury to the working day. The uplifting scent of Light is our current go-to now that springtime is officially here. With beautiful scents of bergamot, grapefruit and petitgrain over a grounding base of rosewood, it makes for the perfect pick-me-up when needed most.
