Colour is an integral part of our visual language and it’s always been hugely important to us since we rebranded Evermore in 2019. In 2022, we were keen to explore the vast range of paper and colour possibilities within the G . F Smith collection.
Partnering with G . F Smith was an obvious choice for us; the paper quality and colour options are second-to-none, and we’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to visit the paper mill where the G . F Smith Colorplan and Extract sheets we use for our boxes are made. We found the science behind the entire process absolutely fascinating, especially the process involved during the creation of each colour. G . F Smith is dedicated to sustainable paper production. They’ve recycled over 150 million disposable cups (and counting) into paper products and are set for net zero emissions by 2030.
When we visited the mill with the G . F Smith team, we spoke with their Business Development Consultant, Georgina, about all things G . F Smith, colour and scent.

What is your favourite Evermore scent?
I’ve found that the way Evermore’s scents are carefully curated, means that they suit different times of the year for me, but my absolute favourite has to be Moon.

Is there a specific scent that reminds you of home or a place that is special to you?
I used to spend my summers down at my grandparents by the beach at their beach hut, so the smell of the ocean takes me back to those times of playing in the sea, making sandcastles, and having our sandwiches on stripy fold out chairs on a hot summer’s day.

Why do you think the use of colour compliments scents so well?
When you imagine certain memories, the use of colour and smell can help heighten these memories and transport you right back to that place and time.

How do you think the bold colours of the Evermore boxes fit the GF Smith ethos?
G.F Smith’s ethos is to make and create the world’s finest papers; we carefully select the best papers for our collection. Evermore’s gorgeous black recycled glass jars are housed in the richest of colours which adds to the whole unboxing experience. The papers chosen were designed for packaging, the fully dyed sheet and consistency of colour adds depth to the whole product and evokes the level of quality that both G . F Smith and Evermore stand for.

Our G . F Smith colour choices are meant to evoke a sense of each candle’s story – do you think we’ve managed to achieve this?
Yes, 100%, the richness of colour and scent work in perfect harmony together.

If you had to choose a moment or memory for a new Evermore scent, where or what would it be?
One of the first spring days when it’s starting to get warm enough to open my sash windows and let a breeze in – I guess the scent would be fresh, with a slight floral aroma to evoke the scent of the crocus and narcissi coming to life.

Special thanks to Margaret and Georgina from the G . F Smith team who have made this partnership a dream come true.
We hope you love this new, improved, luxurious look just as much as we do.
